GJYL

Stay close to the people who matter.

Gjyl is a shared space for your people — talk, drop in, call, laugh, exist together — without the noise of social media and without feeling watched.

Built for real connection, not clout.

What is Gjyl?

Your corner of the internet.

Most apps make you perform. Gjyl is the opposite.
Small groups. Private rooms. Talk like you're in the same room — voice, video, streaming, whatever you're doing right now — not some fake highlight reel.
It's the place you go at 1 AM when you just need your people, not a timeline.

Real presence

Low-latency voice and video that feels like "I'm here with you," not "I'm on a call."

Your pace

Hang out quietly, or flood the chat with chaos. No algorithm shoving drama at you.

Safe by design

Small circles, invite-only rooms, and respect for your space. We're not farming your life for ads.

Why "Gjyl?"

Gjyl is named for my dad.

When I lost him, I realized something simple and heavy: the only thing that actually matters is the people you love and the way you show up for each other.

Not followers. Not views. Not "content."

Showing up.

So I built Gjyl to be that place. Somewhere you can show up for your people in real time — even if you're not in the same city, even if life is messy, even if you're tired.

If someone in your circle needs you, they shouldn't have to wonder where to find you. They should know: "You'll be in Gjyl."

This isn't a social feed. It's where you go when it actually matters.

What it feels like inside

"

"I didn't have to ask if you were okay. I could hear it in your voice."

"

"We basically live in this app now instead of a group chat."

"

"It's 3 AM and we're still in here watching dumb videos together."

"

"I hate calls. But this doesn't feel like a call. It just feels like you're here."

Come inside.

You don't have to set anything up. Just sign in, land in your space, and you're with your people.

We use sign-in to make sure it's really you, not some random.

GJYL - Talk freely. Stay close. Stay safe.
